Welcome to Oceanside, CA

San Diego is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities out of the 30+ I’ve been to! North County San Diego to be specific is my favourite. It’s so breathtakingly beautiful that it simply can’t be explained; so I’m going to show you.

The Sunrise

I was born and raised in New York City, so experiencing this sunrise at about 6 in the morning sparked something in me.

The moment my heart no longer belonged to the Concrete Jungle.

The realisation had hit me like a ton of bricks! I didn’t want to be surrounded by skyscrapers, amongst the noisy ambulance sirens 24/7 or taking the dirty subway. I wanted to run in the sand, go to local farmers markets and just take in this beautiful view because I’ve never seen anything like it!

Swami’s Cafe

Pitaya Bowl topped with Bananas, Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Mango, Shredded Coconut & Bee Pollen!

Being an Island Girl, it’s only logical that I’m obsessed with Pitaya and Açai bowls. I came across Swami’s Cafe after spending the morning meditating and watching the sunrise so I opted for their Swami’s Style Pitaya Bowl and 2 smoothies; Nirvana Nectar & Tropical Storm!

The COASTER

Since Oceanside is still developing, if you want to experience a bigger city or the nightlife, definitely head to San Diego with the Coaster!

You can ride the Coaster from Oceanside to Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Sorrento Valley or San Diego | Single Trips vary on the zone you’re travelling to and from, but the Region Plus Day Pass is $12 and totally worth it!

The Famous Top Gun House

If you know me, you know I’m in love with Tom Cruise! Like we’re getting married and planning to have our wedding in Santorini and Honeymoon in Bali… he just doesn’t know it yet.

So I was very excited to visit the house Tom Cruise aka Maverick lived in!

ZIGZAG Pizza

I kid you not, I can eat Pizza everyday! Seriously. ZIGZAG’s Pizza isn’t your average pizza – The crust is thin and the topping choices and sauce options are endless.

The Sunset Market

My absolute favourite part about Oceanside! Every Thursday from 5-9pm the Sunset Market happens. An evening filled with yummy foods and live entertainment.

I will never get tired of looking up at this view.

No matter where it is I go, I always find myself coming back because it’s home. I left my heart here and I’m okay with that!

Have you been to San Diego?

until next time, Sarah Princess
